If needed, you can set an additional warranty on your order to be refunded the total value (ad valorem) of the products in the order during transport.
The maximum additional warranty value per order is €1,000 (excl. VAT).
This additional warranty is billed 1% of its value. If you add a €150 warranty to a specific order, €1.50 will be billed as a warranty option in your next invoice.
You can add a warranty:
- Individually per order
- Automatically on all shipped orders
To start to protect your orders to their content’s value, you need to set your SKU value excluding VAT (see How to edit a SKU in my inventory?)
- Go to Inventory > Edit SKU
- Update your SKU value
The value used is the declared value of the product at the time the order goes into processing, not at the time it is created.
Please note: The announced value must be made from your inventory on each SKU you wish to insure AdValorem.
The declared value requested at the creation of the order is used for customs declarations for shipments outside the European Union.

- Fill in ‘Yes’ in the ‘Insure ad valorem’ field in the manual order creation form
