The shipping fees for your parcels are based on :
- Delivery mode
- Destination
- Weight
1. The Delivery Mode
To ship a parcel, you have to select one of the three different proposed delivery modes:
- Cubyn Express
- Cubyn Standard
- Cubyn Relay
For more information about delivery modes, please refer to What are the delivery mode and delivery promise date?
2. Destination
According to its destination and more especially the country, the parcel will then be assigned to a specific zone
You can find the association zones <> countries from this file.
3. Weight
Finally, the weight of your parcel is measured.
Depending on its destination and delivery mode, two weights can be considered:
- Real weight
- Volumetric Weight
Real weight
Parcel weight is always measured by our conveyor before leaving the warehouse (in kg).
Volumetric Weight
Volumetric weight is an equivalent weight based on the dimensions of the parcel.
The formula is: (width (cm) x height (cm) x length (cm)) / 5000
Volumetric weight is used especially for express delivery and air transportation where volume of the parcel is as important as its actual weight.
When the parcel is eligible, volumetric weight is compared to real weight, and the highest value is selected to calculate shipping fees.
For more information about parcels’ eligibility to volumetric weight, please refer to this file.
