As merchants, you are responsible for the compliance of your products with EU regulations.
Confirming with your supplier your products' compliance with EU regulations is necessary to be able to work with Cubyn First Mile.
For more information about which regulations are applicable for your products, we invite you to check directly with your supplier.
For instance, for smartphones, you need to provide the following documentation:
- CE marking (and its related documentation)
- Lithium label on your package
- Test report of the battery
🚨Additional note: in case of control, for refurbished smartphones, a business licence can be asked by customs
CE marking
The main requirement concerns CE marking. You can find the dedicated information here.
CE marking is a self-certification mark applied to a product by the manufacturer. It indicates that the product meets the health, safety and environmental protection standards of the European Economic Area (EEA).
The documentation related to CE marking needs to be available upon request:
- EU declaration of conformity
- Technical documentation needed for your product category
- Label (either on product, packaging or documents accompanying product)
Please note that in case regulation compliance is not met by merchants using Cubyn First Mile service, Cubyn reserves the right to deny access to this service.
