CAP stands for "Coefficient Ajustement Pétrole"
CAP is an official french coefficient linked to the price of fuel. Depending on the Delivery Mode used to deliver the Parcel, the Customer will be applied the oil adjustment corresponding to the mode of Delivery used.
This coefficient is applied to the amount of the shipping costs excluding VAT after discount (optional services, price supplements excluded). It is expressed as a percentage and is variable each month according to the conditions specified below.
For Cubyn Standard
The road CAP applies to parcels bound for metropolitan France, Andorra, Monaco, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
It is calculated on the basis of the reference index “CNR Gazole professionnel base 2000” of the month M-2, published by the French National Road Committee.
The CAP for plane is calculated on the basis of the U.S. Gulf Coast Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel Spot Price FOB as a monthly average of the month M-2 in USD/gallon, published by the US Department of Energy (Energy Information Administration).
For Cubyn Relay
The CAP is calculated by applying to the share of fuel in shipping costs (9.73%) the percentage increase in the professional diesel index as a monthly average (Base 100: December 2000) compared to the value of this index in January 2016 (i.e. 118.52 our reference value). This index (called the "CNR index" or "index") is published monthly by the National Road Committee (CNR).
For Cubyn Express
The national CAP applies to parcels bound for metropolitan France and Monaco and is calculated from the CNR reference index of the average monthly price of diesel oil at the pump (excluding VAT) for month M-2, published by the National Road Committee.
The international CAP applies to parcels bound for the rest of the world, including French overseas departments and territories, and is calculated on the basis of the U.S. Gulf Coast Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel Spot Price FOB as a monthly average for month M-2 in USD/gallon, published by the US Department of Energy (Energy Information Administration).
